Classic at the Carolina Country Club: Catherine + Banks
by Margaret Taunton |

Catherine and Banks personalized their wedding with a beautiful Shuler Monogram in a custom crest by Theresa Jatko. The design was thoughtfully incorporated throughout the day, creating a cohesive and elegant experience that reflected their timeless style.
Some weddings capture your attention with grandeur. Others, like Catherine and Banks', leave you with a lasting impression. From the very first glimpse of the save-the-date, featuring a custom crest and a 2-letter monogram by Shuler Studio, guests were given a preview of the celebration to come: a vibrant, Springtime wedding rich with meaningful details.

The planning process began with color, first and foremost: Light Blue. Banks is a UNC graduate and Catherine's high-school used the same shade of blue, so it was a must-have as a nod to both of their alma maters. The color palette was expanded to incorporate purples, pinks, corals, and green in their florals, all while keeping "Carolina Blue" as the basis of inspiration.
The couple's custom crest, designed by the talented Theresa Jatko, featured this color palette via bright flowers, a coral shield flanked by illustrations of the couple's dog, and a light blue 2-letter Monogram by Shuler Studio.
"Our marriage was two becoming one, and what better way to reflect that than a monogram?"
-Catherine

Catherine and Banks were married at the bride's childhood church: Christ Episcopal in Raleigh. Once again the personalized crest and monogram greeted guests on the ceremony programs, beautifully tying in the details that were to come.

COCKTAIL HOUR
Once at the reception venue, the Carolina Country Club, wedding guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the front lawn. Bursting with blooms under the clear tent sat a stunning champagne wall and light bites for the guests to enjoy pre-reception. Everything from garden flags to the custom bar was adorned with the couple's monogram.

RECEPTION
From cocktail hour, guests made their way into the jaw-dropping reception space. The ceiling over the monogrammed dance floor was dripping with bright Spring florals, much like the ones featured in the couple's custom crest. Embroidered napkins greeted each guest at their seat and vibrant flower arrangements towered over the tables making the space a true floral oasis.

LATE NIGHT BITES
As the guests partied on the dance floor inside, the space that was used for cocktail hour turned into the ultimate Southern dessert bar. From banana pudding to key lime tarts, guests helped themselves to some late-night sweet treats, including cigars with monogrammed wraps!

Catherine and Banks ended the night with a kiss under a flurry of party poppers. Their wedding day was an incredible example in how to infuse personal meaning into design, even down to the smallest details.

Congratulations, Catherine and Banks! We wish you our best for a happy life together. Thank you for letting us be part of your beautiful day.
