Love in the Lowcountry: Emily + Massimo's Charleston Wedding
by Hannah Larsen |
EVERY DETAIL HOLDS A STORY
For their Charleston wedding, Emily and Massmino selected a refined palette of green and white accented by delicate touches of blue. Traditional motifs, graceful florals, and timeless details blended seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and effortlessly in tune with the beauty of spring.
With their 2-letter Shuler Monogram adorning accents like wax seals, save the dates and matchboxes as well as embroidered accents featuring Shuler's Vintage Vine Font - no detail was missed.
"I wanted our wedding monogram to be simple, classic, easy to read and also traditional. Shuler has always been a favorite of mine for many reasons. There are so many options and they’re so easy to download. Then you have them to use forever!"
-- Emily
Emily and Massimo chose our Shuler Studio Antique Chic EM No.3 for their wedding monogram. By seamlessly blending both of their first initials in an antique yet refined style, this monogram became a true symbol of their special day.
The couple emphasized the important roles their friends played throughout the day, making the celebration all the more memorable. Among Emily’s favorite moments were the heartfelt speeches, which beautifully captured the spirit of the day. Adding a personal touch, the bridesmaids carried bouquets adorned with custom sashes of their initials, each embroidered with the Shuler Vintage Vine Font.
THE CEREMONY
The Ceremony and reception took place at Old Wide Awake Plantation in Hollywood, South Carolina. It was the perfect setting for an elegant and classic Southern wedding.
"Our pastor had us turn and look at all the guests and that was a special moment to see those who traveled far to come spend this special day with us."
THE RECEPTION
The reception included personalized yard games, a live painter, and a beautifully designed bar with the bride and groom's Shuler monogram.
"I wanted a very classic wedding. I wanted florals and spring colors, pattern play with the linens, and traditional elements. I am a southern girl born and raised so everything I own has my monogram on it. I wanted to incorporate that into my wedding day so I created a custom crest and implemented that in a lot of areas."
The couple began their reception with a first dance to Heaven by Jason Aldean.
Beneath the glowing string lights, a dazzling chandelier, and atop a white checkered dance floor, the moment felt truly picture-perfect.
Drawing inspiration from one of Emily’s beloved china brands, Wedgwood, Emily and Massimo selected a cake whose soft hues and light lemon flavor captured the essence of their beautiful spring day.
Cheers to Emily + Massimo!
